Handmade Wood Pendent With Agate Stone

Each one of these pendents I have found a growing attachment to. Hand-carved and shaped to a smooth delicately curved form, this Green Acrylic maple pendent, with a unique Moss Agate stone is just the beginning to a series of hand carved wooden pendents.

Discovering VSCO.

I received a photography program VSCO for my birthday. My sister enlightened me about this program for editing photos. After a few hours of trying to figure out how the program works, I have finally been able to test it out. So I snapped a few photos of my makeup table and tried out the new photo filters. Im excited that the photos shall only get better from here. It was definitely the perfect gift so Thank you Renee.

Drawing It Out

Before starting any 3D form you first must draw it out. I start by drawing hundreds of rough sketches, until I like a specific shape or form. From there, I pick the drawn product which sparks my interest. The drawings selected are now blown up to expose details and express the color. My personal favorite for rendering technique is marker before pencil. Markers are meant for the all over color while pencil shades in detail and contour.

DIY Garbage Find

A garbage find is always the best. This is when the creativity kicks in and skies the limit. This plain wood dresser was sitting at the curb side, and has been reclaimed and revamped with a fresh coat of kelly green paint and a light smear of stain. All thats left is finding the perfect knobs to finish the piece. Instead of paying for furniture, I have decided to wait for the pieces I get for free so I can then spend the time creating them specifically to fit my personality and style. Now I have this wonderful pop of color within the studio. Hooray for garbage picking!!

Welcome To Our Humble Abode

It is time to introduce the place in which I craft. I truly believe that all artists are effected by their surrounds, so thankfully with the mixture of creativity amongst my family we have created an oasis. Buried within the trees lies this beautiful home on top the hill. But sadly, only a few weeks, and I will be moving to Savannah, GA, leaving my craft comfort home behind. So of course I found it important to show my readers our welcoming place for creative minds.
