Welcome To Our Humble Abode

It is time to introduce the place in which I craft. I truly believe that all artists are effected by their surrounds, so thankfully with the mixture of creativity amongst my family we have created an oasis. Buried within the trees lies this beautiful home on top the hill. But sadly, only a few weeks, and I will be moving to Savannah, GA, leaving my craft comfort home behind. So of course I found it important to show my readers our welcoming place for creative minds.

Hand-carved Buckeye Burl Wood Pendent

With each piece we truly dedicate time, and love to complete every detail. This Pendent is hand carved out of Buckeye Burl. 

Just to inform the readers, Burl is the part of wood which exposes the knots, which makes it a little more difficult to work with, but when is it complete, the grain is magnificent. 

To compliment the beautiful shades of blues and greens within the wood, we have embedded a Tiger Eye stone into the face of the pendent. The chain is a antique chain with a strong magnetic clasp. 

Features which you miss by not being able to experience this piece up close, is the smooth shape of the pendent. We have begun building upon this idea of stimming. Stimming is also known as self-stimulation, which is created by a repetitive movement that triggers the calmness of nerves. Organic shapes seem to calm the nerves and sooth some from bad habits. At first this idea seemed far fetched, but it has truly proven to work. We strive for products of purpose.

Nature Inspired...

I could not explain this obsession with unclose and personal detailed snapshots of flowers and plants. The colors, textures, shapes, and smells of each of these are each unique and extraordinarily inspiring to an artists eye. A creation which transforms with each passing moment is simply magnificent.

Recycled Leather and Wood Necklace

We make sure to save every last piece of leather and wood, to attempt to create unique pieces of art with these near useless materials. Today we present to you, a simple braided leather chain with a recycled Olive wood pendent. Every aspect of this piece is proudly recycled, and is read-to-wear. Shop OPHILYA.

Wooden Lathe Purple Acrylic Pendent

This unique pendent is a hand lathed purple acrylic wood piece with a small embedded tigers eye stone at the very end. My new endeavor during this project was to make sure that the piece had movement. The connection piece is hand craved from wood and I ran a metal wire through the side and into the lathed piece in order for it to move freely back and forth. Yes this did take forever to create, but I enjoy every moment I spend with each item. From start to finish it is a magical process to create products with inspirational qualities.
